Apparently the last one is often the hardest. No shit. I haven\u2019t felt such bone-crushing fatigue, where every movement is a struggle. Some old side effects got jealous and wanted in on the action, so it\u2019s been a reunion of sorts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But there\u2019s some good news!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was cleared to resume flossing and using my electric toothbrush. What? Did you think I\u2019d have more exciting news to share? Well, you\u2019re right!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I had a mammogram and breast ultrasound today; my last scans were in December. The tech said the size of the cancer has decreased significantly since the first scans, and even from the last ones. When I asked if they could see the tumor, she indicated they couldn\u2019t find it, but it could still be there on a microscopic level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019ll find out more when I meet with the surgeon. Even if it\u2019s there at a level that we can\u2019t see, that\u2019s what surgery and radiation are for. As the tech said, I\u2019m trending in the right direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So let\u2019s get the party police in here and break up the action, already, so we can party for the right reasons!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>*Not for the reasons you think Well, this last chemo has been kicking my ass!
