So far this week has been more of the same, with the added layer of fatigue. When I went to acupuncture on Tuesday, Carol said I should get treatments weekly from here on out as typically at the halfway mark, things start to get more difficult.
In other news, while trying to fall asleep one night, I penned this little ditty:
My head hair is growing in - Salt and pepper, soft, and thin. But I can just never win, Because what I’d been fearing — Despite my persevering — Eyebrows are disappearing! Slow progress or lack thereof. But when push must come to shove, I’d rather have it above!

Your eyes are beautiful!!!!
It’s been a while since we’ve gotten one of your fun poems! Keep up the amazing positive attitude 💙
I love your ditty. Eyebrows can be drawn in but to have to draw your hair in every day would be labour intensive. I am so glad you have made acupuncture a part of your healing as it helps with pain and makes relaxation more possible. Great choices and a terrific attitude.

ODE TO HAIR NO MORE:
well, ok, not an ode; just wanted your attention.
long past menopause, in recent years, however, i’ve noticed hair has totally stopped growing under my arms. hair growth on my legs is much diminished but still somewhat “productive,” just enuf to demand a very quick shave when time for shorts.
hair on arms: thinner but still brown.
my eyebrows have thinned just a tad; less plucking required.
and the hair on head: well, its texture has changed a bit too, actually restoring some of the curls/waves it used to have…but its still, as it always has been, so dry i need to condition, etc all the time to make it even comfortable to the touch.
THE POINT: as we age, our bodies naturally reconfigure themselves. yours will too cancer treatments or none. dont be surprised if the some of the changes for the texture of your hair, perhaps even presence in some places [like legs, underarms], is different after all the “treatments” have finished and your body recovers.
from the few pictures i’ve seen of you, YOU WILL STILL BE BEAUTIFUL hair or not.
Haven’t lost your sense of humor 😂🥰
I love and very much appreciate how you always find something to make us smile.
Aw this is great! Love you, friend.
