My sleep-filled nights ended Sunday night, when I literally peed every 15 minutes (or less) throughout the night. This might be from the build-up of fluids on Friday leaving my body. The nausea is still ever-present, though somehow I’m able to eat and drink. Zofran doesn’t seem to help. Today, I’m trying Reglan. Any other options may cause too much drowsiness or other side effects, so here’s hoping this works!
It’s kind of hard to do things, even read, when I’m feeling crappy and restless. I’ve tried to take little naps each day and treat myself when possible. Like Sunday, I requested a favorite cold treat that I hadn’t had all summer – that hit the spot!
This morning, I met with an endocrinologist. Turns out that “low” thyroid level might be normal for me. Keytruda does affect the thyroid, so we’ll monitor things. She told me what symptoms to look for, but as of right now, there’s nothing to worry about.
As I prepare for losing my hair, I’ve decided that when the time comes to shave it, I want to do different styles on the way out. Any suggestions, besides the obvious mohawk? Don’t say a mullet — I have my limits!

re: NAUSEA. i believe there are self-injectables that might work. [sorry, forgot the names]
damn. hit button before saying HOPING YOU”RE FEELING LOTS BETTER SOON.
How awful all of this is for you. The unfortunate thing is it seems that what your experiencing is what I have heard of others doing chemo speak of as well. The very fact that you keep writing is a real indication of your tenacity and strong determination. I can only hope that the right combination of meds is found shortly for you and relief will be yours.
Lisa,
you could dye you hair a color you have always wanted! Be a blonde? A redhead? One of my patients did that. Right before her bone marrow transplant , she knew it was all going to fall out, so she had her brown hair dyed the brightest of pinks! It was fierce! I think you could rock it! Love you fierce lady!
Nobody said it Was going to be easy, Lisa. Sending healing hugs down the thru way 🌈 {{{hugs}}}. Friday, I sang Mish Bear ach for you at synagogue.
I’m voting for this, https://www.pinterest.com/pin/313985405261494321/. With some color, please. Peacock blue would be gorgeous.
Sending hugs for you. As for hair color, maybe a red would look good.
Definitely some color (do blonds really have more fun?) and maybe a pixie cut?(like Peter Pan) whatever you decide, there’s no right or wrong so have some fun-you already ARE brave! Post a photo or your new “do”. 😍
Sending big hugs
